What is the Smartsheet Community?
The Smartsheet Community is a place for users around the world to exchange information and collaborate. With Smartsheet, the user department often creates solutions, but when you get stuck,Ask the community a question and other members will help you.You can also exchange ideas for new features, and many features are introduced based on community discussions.
To encourage more people to join our community, we are introducing three new language topics, including Japanese.

What is possible with a new language community
Each language topic provides:
- Questions and answers written in that language
- Tutorials and tips for users of that language
- Community events for that language
Please note that product idea submissions are only available in English, but voting is possible in all languages. A product idea is an idea that you would like to add a feature like this.
At Smartsheet, we believe language is an essential element of collaboration and understanding. For this reason, we are launching new topics to help community members who speak specific languages.
Also, initially we will only support these three languages, but we plan to support more languages in the future.
What Japanese users can do within Japanese topics
Japanese speaking members can post questions and get answers in Japanese. You can also get hints for your problem from past discussions. Discussions within Japanese topics allow you to share feedback and ideas for products specific to Japanese environments. You can also plan and participate in Japanese community events. Additionally, you can communicate with members of other languages through English.

Tips for asking good questions
First and foremost, the most important thing is to clearly and specifically communicate the issue you are facing. Describe in detail what you are trying to do, how far you have succeeded, and why you are having trouble.
For example, if a formula doesn't work properly, you can make the formula you created so that other members can see it.
It is also effective to include an image that shows the sheet data structure. When doing so, please be careful not to display personal or confidential information.
Rather than asking vague questions, you are more likely to get a good answer by summarizing what you have done and providing specific examples.

In the future, we will shift our focus to the Japanese community, resolve issues for many Japanese users, provide more information on specific issues with Smartsheet in Japanese, and provide information for Japanese community members. We would like to plan community events such as holding webinars, and also build bridges between language communities by introducing globally useful information to the English community.
